The Solterra is the EV for the Subaru faithful, and the 2026 refresh fixed its biggest gripes: a bigger 74.7 kWh battery pushes range to ~285 miles, DC charging jumped to 150 kW, and it finally has a Tesla-style NACS port. Standard all-wheel drive and 8.3 inches of ground clearance mean it'll handle a snowy trailhead better than most crossovers. Starting around $38.5k, it's a sensible, rugged first EV.
