The Optiq is Cadillac's smallest, cheapest EV, and for 2026 it added a rear-wheel-drive base trim that cut the starting price to $50,900 while pushing range to 317 miles. It rides on GM's Ultium platform with a native NACS port, seats five, and wraps it all in a genuinely upscale interior with a 33-inch curved display. Charging is its soft spot at 150 kW, but as an affordable way into a well-built luxury EV, it's a strong pick.
