Florida has no state EV rebate and still no EV registration fee. The money is small utility perks: FPL charger plans, Duke $7.50/mo off-peak credits, OUC $200.
The $7,500 federal new-EV credit and $4,000 used-EV credit ended September 30, 2025, and the federal home-charger credit (30C) followed on June 30, 2026. If anyone tells you otherwise, they're reading an old script. (Charger installed on or before June 30, 2026? That one's still claimable on that year's return. IRS Form 8911.)

Level 2 charger installed and maintained for a flat monthly fee: $36/mo with full installation or $27/mo equipment-only. Charging is billed separately, about 7¢/kWh off-peak vs about 28¢ on-peak. Single-family homes or townhouses with an attached garage; not available with net metering or a time-of-use rate.
Florida has repeatedly rejected EV fees, the latest ($250/yr proposal) died March 2026. Combined with no state income tax on the rebate side, the ownership math here is clean and simple. JEA (Jacksonville) ended its EV program, ignore stale listings.
