Delaware pays up to $2,500 for new or used EVs, no income test (rules reset May 1, 2026). Energize Delaware refunds up to 50% of a home charger. Fee: $110/yr.
The $7,500 federal new-EV credit and $4,000 used-EV credit ended September 30, 2025, and the federal home-charger credit (30C) followed on June 30, 2026. If anyone tells you otherwise, they're reading an old script. (Charger installed on or before June 30, 2026? That one's still claimable on that year's return. IRS Form 8911.)
New (base MSRP under $50k: $2,500 BEV under $40k, $1,500 BEV $40k to $50k, $1,000 PHEV) and used from a dealer (KBB price about $40k or less, 8 model years max; residents only). Leases 36+ months. Two rebates per person lifetime; apply within 90 days. Amounts set May 1, 2026 and fixed until the next program review.
