No state EV rebate and no EV fee, but the cheap license tax and HOV-lane perk are gone. What is left: SRP and TEP charger rebates and small bill credits.
The $7,500 federal new-EV credit and $4,000 used-EV credit ended September 30, 2025, and the federal home-charger credit (30C) followed on June 30, 2026. If anyone tells you otherwise, they're reading an old script. (Charger installed on or before June 30, 2026? That one's still claimable on that year's return. IRS Form 8911.)
No state-level purchase incentive right now, the money in Arizona, if any, is at the utility level.
$25 enrollment credit + $5/month (APS says up to $85) for sharing your EV's charging data. The version where APS nudges your charging schedule is full (waitlist only). Plus EV time-of-use plans.
$20 enrollment credit + $10/month when you charge on the WeaveGrid schedule 85% of the time (up to $140/yr). First 500 vehicles; one-year pilot from June 29, 2026.
No annual EV surcharge (the proposed $135/yr fee never became law), and EVs skip emissions testing. HOV-lane access for EVs ended Sept 30, 2025. Used-EV shoppers: the old reduced license tax only survives on EVs registered before 2023 by the same owner (it no longer depends on the plate), and it never transfers to a buyer, so any EV you buy now pays standard vehicle license tax.
