Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study showcases the overall satisfaction automobile owners feel with their vehicle. J.D. Power then compiles those vehicles into a point-based system that compares overall brands against one another. Although brands like Rivian and Tesla are not eligible to be given awards, they still go through the process. While the actual winner of the 2024 APEAL Study was Porsche with 891, Rivian surpassed them with a score of 900. Similarly, Rivian was the only brand to receive a 5/5 Satisfaction Score in Consumer Reports' owner satisfaction surveys.
