From $61,990 · up to 332 mi range · SUV · seats 6
The Model Y L is a longer Model Y with three rows and six seats, and it is a different car from the regular Model Y, which now seats five. It went on sale in the US as one trim, the Premium all-wheel-drive Launch Series, at $61,990 plus destination, and that includes a year of Full Self-Driving (Supervised), free Supercharging and Premium Connectivity. Tesla rates it at 332 miles on the 19-inch wheels (the EPA lists 328 on the 20s), 0-60 in 4.4 seconds, 250 kW Supercharging and 3,500 lb of towing with the hitch included. It adds a second-row touchscreen and 89 cubic feet of cargo space. The catch is the price: a seven-seat Kia EV9 or Hyundai IONIQ 9 starts for less.
Charging a typical new EV (30 kWh per 100 miles) at home costs about $55 per 1,000 miles at the national average rate, from $38 in Louisiana to $144 in Hawaii (EIA, July 2026). See your state's EV vs gas numbers or run your own.
