From $29,990 · up to 303 mi range · Crossover · seats 5
Forget everything you knew about the old LEAF. For 2026, Nissan hit the reset button and turned it into a sharp-looking subcompact crossover SUV with 303 miles of range, a 75 kWh liquid-cooled battery, and 150 kW DC fast charging via NACS. That's a massive upgrade from the old hatchback that topped out at 212 miles with a 50 kW CHAdeMO plug. Starting under $30,000 makes it one of the cheapest new EVs you can buy, and now it actually competes on range and charging speed. If the old LEAF was "good enough for most people," the new one is genuinely good, period.
