The Hummer EV is not a sensible purchase, and it does not pretend to be. It comes as a pickup or an SUV, weighs over 9,000 pounds, does 0-60 in about 3.5 seconds (2.8 in the Carbon Fiber Edition), can drive diagonally in "crab walk" mode, and starts around $97,000 plus destination. GM estimates 310 to 363 miles of range from a battery of about 200 kWh, and it fast-charges at up to about 350 kW. Towing runs 7,500 to 10,000 pounds depending on the version. GMC sold about 1,400 in Q3 2026.
Charging a typical new EV (30 kWh per 100 miles) at home costs about $55 per 1,000 miles at the national average rate, from $38 in Louisiana to $144 in Hawaii (EIA, July 2026). See your state's EV vs gas numbers or run your own.
