If you want an electric sedan that still feels like a proper BMW, the i4 is it. It's based on the 4 Series Gran Coupe, which means it drives like a sport sedan should -- precise steering, balanced handling, and a level of refinement that Tesla doesn't quite match. The M50 trim is properly fast with 536 hp. BMW's iDrive infotainment is one of the best in the business, and yes, you get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For 2026, range improved across the board thanks to new silicon carbide inverters -- the eDrive40 now pushes 333 miles. It runs on 400V architecture with 200 kW DC fast charging. BMW's 800V switch is coming with Neue Klasse, but not this car.
